This felted wool purse is a unique creation made individually by hand in Nepal.

They are produced with 100% New Zealand Lamb's wool using traditional techniques of felting.

This raw wool is carded and dyed in various colors then shaped using soap and water and repeatedly scrubbed and pounded by hand until the tiny naturally occuring barbs on the hairs of the wool open up and lock on to one another.

The shape is eventually formed and dried in the sun. NO CHEMICALS are used in this process. There is no need for sewing or patching.

Many underprivileged women of Nepal have become involved in this industry and turn creating these items for export help to improve their living standards and aid in their empowerment.
